Passing of Councillor Ted Blunt

Councillor Ted Blunt passed away on Sunday 26th October at Burton Hospital following a short illness.

Councillor Blunt served as District Councillor for Ibstock and Heather since May 2007.

Christine Fisher, Chief Executive of North West Leicestershire District Council, said: "On behalf of the Council staff I would like to express our sincere condolences to Councillor Blunt's family.

"As a mark of respect the notice of the vacancy in the ward will not be posted until after the funeral. The date and arrangements for the funeral have yet to be confirmed."
