Our Benefits team is part of the Finance Department and is based in the main Council Offices in Coalville.
We have 16 members of staff who look after the administration and payment of Housing and Council Tax Benefit by carrying out assessments, visits, front-line customer service duties and investigations.
We are committed to providing you with an excellent level of service by making sure that your claims and enquiries are dealt with promptly and accurately. All benefit matters are dealt with in the strictest confidence.
Our latest initiative is the One Day Promise - a new service which helps us to help you by speeding up the time it takes to process your benefit claim or change in circumstances.
